Background | As a market researcher April has strong expertise in the pharmaceutical/medical arena. Over the past 5 years, she has interviewed specialists and PCPs on a variety of topics. In addition she has extensive experience working with hospital networks to understand patients, families, and internal stakeholders' perceptions and needs. April's research experience is particularly deep in mood disorders - depression/anxiety, bi-polar, schizophrenia, ADD, PMDD; as well as surgical instruments and implants - orthopedics and general surgery. She is experienced in doing IDIs, groups, conferences and roundtables with medical professionals. April has over 15 years of marketing and marketing research experience and has conducted over 800 focus groups or one on one interviews. Before engaging in qualitative research consulting full-time, she was a Vice President, Management Supervisor at Northlich, the largest Cincinnati-based advertising agency. There she managed a range of accounts in the consumer products, business-to-business, retail technology and telephony industries for clients such as Cincinnati Bell and Procter & Gamble. She was deeply involved in researching and launching new products from household goods to high-speed internet services. After graduating with an MBA from Indiana University, April learned firsthand the intricacies of creating a business plan for a start-up company. As part of the team that launched a transportation subsidiary for Roadway Services, Inc., she learned the importance of good research from the client side as well.
